Upon completion of  arts and crafts studies at the art school  La Llotja, Luisa Mascaro continued her studies in sculpture and ceramics at the prestigious Saint Martin´s in London and the school of Visual Arts in New York.

The main theme of Luisa Mascaro´s works are the colour fields -  one  part transparencies and evanescents which appear suspended in a plastic atmospheric space, and in some parts heavier oils contrasting other zones of watercolours and diluted by paint thinner.

The countryside and literary texts frequently refer  to points such as the blue tree, the waltz and the branches  which grow from the poems of Federico Garcia Lorca.

In many paintings, she has abandoned the traditional easel style and used materials spread on the floor, using a technique by dripping watercolours, oils, acrylics or gouache.

Some of the artists who have influenced Luisa are Cecily Brown,Afro BAsaldella, Soutine, Domenico Gnoli, Chagall, van Gogh and Kiki Smith.

She is at the moment planning art projects at the academia de ´Arte Lorenzo di Medici (Florencia)
